Who Me? - Different Strokes From Different Folks Challenge

I wasn't sure I'd get this done in time to participate in Karin Jurick's challenge this time for Different Strokes From Different Folks. I wasn't sure it was going to work either - putting the puppy in the composition. It was a job to get the puppy like what I imagined in my head and considering I didn't have one photo like this pose it may not be true to life. I had several different photos of dogs of all ages and a couple of breeds - nothing like making it hard on myself is there?

Oh I hate when that happens - I hit enter and it makes my post - sorry about that!

Here is my version of Karin's challenge - Who Me? I think he looks like he has been caught at his favorite pastime.

Who Me?
14" x 11" (35.6cm x 28.0cm)
Pastel on Velour
$300 plus $10 shipping and handling in the US

This is just precious, I really like your take on the challenge. I had something in mind for it too but as of yet I haven't tried it. There was two weeks on this one, maybe I still have time. I have missed you posting, it is a busy time of the year isn't it?

Karen, I love your 'take' on this. The puppy is precious. Well done.

I miss the zoom view because I always enjoy getting that closer look at the details of your work.

Best wishes for a blessed holiday.

Thanks Barb - I was fun to do - you should try it. I haven't had a whole lot of time to post lately - it is a really busy time of year. I would have liked to have taken more time with this one but. . .

Hi Marsha - thanks so much. I don't know what I am doing but I've notice the zoom doesn't work. I select centered and large. Maybe I should select centered and small??

Hope you both have a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Awww, he's so cute. I think everything about him is just right. Amazing you did him without a photo reference!

Hi Lesley - thanks for stopping by. I'm glad like him - he is kind of cute - but then most puppies are. BTW - I love the boots you did -great colors!

Hi, I'm sooo behind on reading. These came out so special. I noticed them immediately on Different Strokes. Great job!

Thanks Jo! That is a compliment if you notice this one in all the great paintings on DSFDF - thanks!

I've had a hard time keeping up with my reading too lately - don't know where all the time goes!
