I'm wishing for rain. It is HOT here in Central Texas. We are in an "extreme drought." I think I heard we have had over 23 days over 100 and many of those days have broken records with the highs.

My grass is crunchy when I walk on it and my plants are dying. The lakes which supply our drinking water are over 20 feet below where they should be - that is counting the deficit from last year.

I'm so ready for rain and cooler weather and it isn't even August which is usually our hottest month. The good news is El Nino is back so maybe by fall we will get some rain - I only hope it isn't a gully washer - several days of a nice steady rain would be great. So while I was thinking of the heat and lack of rain I thought I'd paint a some clouds that look like they could bring rain.

Matthew 6:10
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.

Karen,
This is a lovely little gem of a painting...sorry to hear about your drought situation. Here in Illinois we have had record rains all spring, so much so that the farmers couldn't get their crops in.

We need to talk to God about spreading his 'rain' our a little more:) I will be sure to mention your state of Texas!

Hi Marsha - thanks so much! It was fun to do - rather quick and those are always nice. The weather is crazy everywhere it seems. I feel for the farmers and ranchers in these days of extremes. We do need to talk to God to see what we can do ;-) Thanks!

Your painting is like a prayer, I can see your faith on it!
Hope everything goes back to normal soon...
Best regards,
Carolina

Karen, We have had a cool and rainy summer, it would be nice to share the wealth. Especially for drinking water. Lovely piece.

Carolina you are so sweet - thanks! Everything goes in cycles but sure seems extreme lately. There is a slight chance of rain in the forecast - I'll take it;-)

Hi Holly, lucky you with the rain and cooler summer - I'm jealous! Thanks I'm glad you like my clouds - send some rain down this way OK?

HI Karen, This is a beautiful sky. You do need rain don't you? Such a huge country we live in, always extremes in the weather going on someplace.

Hey Barb - thanks so much. We do need rain - there is a promise of some - not much but we are hopeful ;-)
