Here is my first pastel for 2010. I took the reference photo for this painting when I was in Yellowstone in 2008. I was mesmerized by the wolves at the Grizzly and Wolf Center. Their howl isn't at all like a coyote's shrill "yip" of a howl, which I have heard often, but more melodic and soft - almost haunting. It was beautiful! If I ever get the chance I want to go back to Yellowstone - it was a trip of a lifetime for me that I'll remember forever.

Psalm 11:7 (New International Version)
For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face.

It's such a beautiful painting, Karen! And done from a reference photo you took with your own hands, that's even better, awsome!

Hi Sam! Thank you - I'm so glad you like it!

Hey Carolina - thanks! It is rather cool to know I actually took the reference picture. Speaking of cool - everyone in North America is cold right now - how is it there?

Hi Toni - thank you! It was awesome to take pictures like this - I had to keep remembering to take pictures instead of just watching though.
