- I'm a Born Again Christian, a native Texan and a self-taught artist. I started out working mainly in graphite (pencil) but gravitated to pastels over the years. I love the vibrant, luminous color pastels offer. Karen, This piece is great...you've done such a nice job. The reflexions are perfect, and those apples...well I could take a bite out of one.
