I decided to do another quick study some wildflowers tonight after doing the Mexican Hat flower last night. This one took just about 30 minutes too. I tried to work quickly to learn to "loosen up" a bit. Bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas and in the spring they adorn the sides of the highways and farm roads everywhere. Often you will see people stopping their cars to take pictures of their kids or pets sitting in a field of Bluebonnets or to just enjoy the view. They can be breathtaking.
This is a 5x7 on velour. I'm really pleased with the way this one turned out - I hope you like it too.

Nice drawing. I think the grass "tangled" up with the flowers is a great touch.
I really like this Karen. It has a softness about it...just a little illusive, making you want to lean in to see if you're missing something.
