This week has been so hectic! I thought I'd be painting most every evening - but with car problems, doctor visits, vet visits and numerous other things called "life" going on I just haven't been painting. I did finally sit down last night though and painted this little lemony pastel. I've seen so many beautiful paintings of lemons by other artists that I admire I wanted to try one. Lemons are harder than they look to paint. I knew glass can be difficult but didn't expect lemons to be as much of a challenge as they were. At any rate here there are!
John 15:4
"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

Hi Karen!
Now YOU are on my list of admired artists that have done a great piece with lemons!
I like the final Bible quote, too. Something to never forget...
Best regards,
Carolina
I know I say it most every time I post a comment...but your pastels are amazing. They have a softness about them that you don't usually see. You have grown into a signature style of your own. You handled the glass perfectly and the lemons...well, they are making my mouth 'pucker'! Very nicely done.
Carolina - you make me smile. Thanks so much and you are right about the Bible verse - that is something we should never forget.
Hi Marsha! I hope you are feeling better these days. Your comment makes me so happy. I had been looking at my work and comparing it to others and feeling bad about it from time to time. I think we all do that but your comment came at a perfect time. Thanks!
Love the yellow and blue, the piece caught my eye. I understand about "life" getting in the way, we just do what we can.
Thanks Holly - yellow and blue really are eye catching aren't they? LOL - you're rigth we can only do what we can do and try not to fret about the rest;-) I hope things are going well for you.
Karen - somehow my link to your blog got dropped off of my homepage, and I'm so glad to have it back! These are wonderful and you did an excellent job on the glass bowl - how lovely!
Regina
Hi Regina - those things sometimes happen - I'm glad though that you have it back again. Thank you - these were fun to do - I've been thinking about doing some more soon.
