Gosh I haven't painted in quite a while! It always is a little intimidating to get back in the swing of painting when I haven't done anything for such a long time so I thought I'd just play for my first one back.  This is a little ACEO card, only 2.5 x 3.5 inches, perfect for this little bluebird. They are such bright and cheerful birds, you can't help but smile when you see them.  When I saw James Parker had a challenge on his blog Windows to the Words and this little bluebird was on the top of the lists of reference photos I had to participate. I may end up doing all the birds - we will see.

Psalm 5:3 (New International Version)
In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

Karen, your delightful little chirper is posted, linked, and happily eating up all the birdseed on WTTW Art. Thanks so much, and I will be looking forward to others that might be flying my way. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. James

Hi Karen!
That's a great comeback to painting! it's a lovely little painting, I like it very much (the bird, the blurry background, the colors, textures...). Way to go :)
Warm regards,
Carolina

I just saw one of these little beauties perched in the top branches of my red twig dogwood - must mean Spring is near. This is such a wonderful painting!!!
