I'm rather pleased with the way this has turned out. It is another challenge from Karin Jurick from Different Strokes From Different Folks. It is the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC set in the beautiful night sky.
When I saw the photo Karin posted for the challenge I knew exactly what I was going to do. A few nights ago when I went out to put a blanket on my horse I looked up and there was a silvery ring, much like this one, around the moon. It was beautiful. I stood out there for quite a while just looking at it and enjoying the sight. It was very pretty. I've seen rings around the moon before but they always make me stop and take a second look.

Karen, This is really beautiful, you really used your artistic license with this and made it your own. Wow!
Very impressive, Karen - kind of a quiet respect for our founders. Would love to see a larger view!
Thanks so much Barb - I am trying to do that more an more these days.
Hi Regina - thank you! You know I don't know what I'm doing wrong when posting that it doesn't you to click on it to allow for a larger view. I use the same format each time - sometimes it will allow it but most of the time it doesn't. I'll try to post something bigger when I get home from work.
OK I quickly went back to those that you can click on and enlarge and they are either at the beginning of the post or not centered. Weird! I'll try it when I get home to confirm it.
I loved your DSFDF Jefferson Memorial. I signed up for your newsletter because I loved your website and tutorials!
Thanks so much Sheila. It is always nice to hear. I like what you have done with the DSFDF challenge - it's fun to see so many ways a photo can be painted.
