Hydrangeas in Shadow and Light - Different Strokes from Different Folks

I started working on a commission today and needed a break so I thought I'd do a quick study of Karin Jurick's challenge this week in her blog Different Strokes from Different Folks.

It didn't turn out too bad - it would make a wonderful Christmas gift for someone special.

Karen,
This is just lovely and I totally agree with Toni...your pastels definitely have a dreamy effect. Makes me want to look closer just in case I missed something.

Beautifully done.

Hi Karen, just trying to be back in touch with folks who left comments on my blog. I know I check mine often, so it's nice to leave feedback on other blogs as well. Very soft feel to you DSFDF piece of the hydrangeas. I can't wait to start on the boots.

Hey Annelein, I'm so glad you stopped by! I love the connection we all have to each other via the net. I'm glad you like this piece - I'm anxious to start on the boots. I'm glad she gave us a little extra time.

I love this, Karen! The colors are great and your flowers - it's almost like a photograph taken while moving.

Hi Regina - Thanks. That is an interesting observation but I can see that. I'm not great with flowers - need to do more of them.

Oh, but you are good with flowers - I love impressionist pieces, and that is what I thought of when I saw these flowers - they are beautiful!

Regina - thank you. I did this one really quick so it would be looser than my normal work. I am glad you like them - I do too.
