  • Pass the award onto 12 bloggers.
  • Link the nominees within your post.

  • Link to the person from whom you received this award.
I hope you will visit these blogs - each one is special in their own right. Enjoy!
To those I have chosen:  If you have already received this award, or do not wish to participate, I certainly understand, but I just wanted to say I enjoy your blogs and visit often.  Thank you for doing what you do so well and bringing a little sunshine in to my world.

A Thank You To Karin Jurick - Pastel Original Portrait

My Pastel of

The photo of Karin I worked from.

Probably most of you know that I participate, from time to time, in the painting challenges on Different Strokes from Different Folks, a blog hosted by Karin Jurick.  I was contacted a month or so ago by Jill Polsby to participate in a "Thank You" to Karin by all of us painting her portrait.   I'm not going to go into the details but do please read Jill's blog for those.  I'm not feeling too well, I have pneumonia and just not up to writing a whole lot right now but didn't want to let the day go by without posting this and to say Thank You to Karin for all her time and effort in doing the DSFDF blog.

Did you notice the angel?

I was showing someone my pastel "Glorious Sunset" and she said "Oh, you put an angel in the sky!"  I didn't notice it before, but immediately saw it once she said that.  If I had tried to put it there it probably wouldn't have worked out as well.  What do you think?  Can you see the angel?

Here's another sunset.  It isn't a view from my backdoor, despite all the rain we have had lately, my pasture isn't a lake . . .yet!  This is just from an old photograph I had and I liked the look of liquid gold in both the sky and water.
