2020 Christmas Card

I can't believe it, but it is about time to start thinking about sending out Christmas cards!  This year's card is a really cute one even if I say so myself!

The process can be time consuming, but I start off by picking my reference photo.  This one came from Pixabay.

Then I create my pastel using the reference photo on 11 " X 14" velour paper.

I made a few changes but not many.  Here is the final pastel.

Once finished with the pastel, I use my computer software and create a print in the appropriate size for the card.  For these cards, the 4" X 5" print is printed on fine art paper creating a suitable giclée print for framing - making it two gifts in one - the card and the print!

The gicléprint is then cut out and mounted with photo corners on  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card stock.  As you can see there are a lot of steps in creating these cards and they can be time consuming but my customers love them!

Here is the finished 2020 Christmas Card. "He was born in a manger!"
