I haven't any pastels to post at the moment but didn't like posting without some sort of image so I'm posting these photos. The other morning, just as the sun was coming up, as I was pulling out of my driveway I saw the largest full rainbow I've ever seen - and it was a double. You could see it from end to end and it was huge - stretching from my backyard to the front yard. I couldn't get the whole thing in one photo. Then the odd thing I've seen another since then - only in the evening.
The photo of a sunset I took not too long ago from my backyard. It's beautiful isn't it?
Now about the workshop.
On Saturday morning I'm going to an art marketing workshop with Qiang-Huang (pronounce Chong Wong) who is an absolutely wonderful oil painter. Be sure to check out his blog. I really admire his work. I'm hoping to see some of his work in person since we will be at his studio.
In his workshop. he is going to give us the inside scoop on marketing our art online and specifically selling artwork on eBay - something he is very successful at. I'm looking forward to meeting him and hopefully I'll learn enough to earn more in my online marketplace ventures.
One of these days I want to take a painting workshop from him - maybe next year.

Lovely photos. Beautiful sunset and rainbows. My mom was so fond of taking photos of those subjects. Brought me good memories. :) Have a good time at the workshop and learn a lot!
Hi Karen, wonderful to meet you at the workshop at Qiang's today. I hope I can put some of his expertise into practice now.
Love your rainbows, saw one two nights ago, first I have ever seen in Texas.
Happy painting
Rae
A little Hawaii in a Texas back yad...with my N'eastern accent? Yard. Love the sunset too and the bowl of yellow displayed in your sidebar!
Thanks.
No not Hawaii - the rainbows there are much wider and brighter and always double and the doubles are almost as bright as the front on.
The sunsets are beautiful though at my house.
Rae it was great to meet you too. I look forward to seeing you around. Thanks for following ;-)
Oh, Karen!! This is what I MISS so much about Texas, my home state!!
Sunsets are unmatched anywhere else I've been!! :) Thanks for dropping by my blog - and your kind comments!
Stay tuned... I'm working on this painting today!
And, as I'm checking your work, of late - it is beautiful, as always!!
