I just finished another of James Parker's challenges on Windows to the Words.  I chose to do the Robin this time.  I loved the shading and the feathers on this bird when I saw it and thought it would be fun - it was!  I almost took those two leaves out but once I got them in I was afraid they would have shown a bit if I had tried to take them out - so they are staying.

Karen, your spiffy little robin is posted and linked on Windows to the Words Art... and singing about the coming Spring. I'm glad to see you left the foreground leaves, because it adds a degree of spatial relationship... a 3-D effect.

Hello Karen,
You got a great painting there. The position and aspect of the bird looks a little defiant, doesn't it? And the leaves are perfect :)
Best regards,
Carolina

Hi Karen - Glad you left the leaves, they add to the piece without taking away from the Robin. Well done, love the warm color on the breast.

Hi Holly - nice to see you here. I'm glad you like how it turned out - the breast is my favorite part of this bird too.
