I haven't actually sat down and painted (pastels) since I've been off from work for the holidays. There seems to be a lot to be done around my house and I've been taking advantage of my time at home.
This evening, however, I felt the urge to do a pastel and set up a still life of my red boots and this rusted star I have. I used to wear these boots quite often and loved them. They usually sit on my hearth so as with most things that sit out all the time you forget they are there. I had moved them to put up Christmas decorations and realized they would make a neat little still life - so here it is. An ACEO (Art Cards, Editions, and Originals) card. One of these days I may do have to do this larger.
Revelation 4:11 (New International Version)
11"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being."

It's great Karen, I would like to see a larger version of it too, definitely!
Have a happy New Year!

Very nice Karen. I like the composition of the boots and the star. A cowgirl and her Texas star.
I wanted to wish one of my first blogger friends a fabulous New Year. I know 2010 will continue to bring you many blessings Karen. All the best to you and yours.
Thank you Carolina! It's on my TODO list ;-) Happy New Year!
